Ruling the charts with his latest album isn’t stopping Harry Styles from taking Hollywood by storm. “As It Was” singer has several highly-anticipated projects on the way, and the first trailer for his upcoming movie My Policeman shows him dealing with a messy love triangle.

My Policeman is based on Bethan Roberts’ book of the same name. The official synopsis describes it as “a beautifully crafted story of forbidden love and changing social conventions” and a “visually transporting, heart-stopping portrait of three people caught up in the shifting tides of history, liberty, and forgiveness.”

It centers on three young people, played by Harry Styles, Emma Corrin, and David Dawson, as they embark on an emotional journey in 1950s Britain, and traces them all the way to the 1990s, as they try to repair the damage of the past after years of reeling with longing and regret.

My Policeman also stars Linus Roache, Gina McKee, and Rupert Everett as the older version of the lead characters. The film was directed by Michael Grandage, and the filming took place across London and Brighton last year. It will receive a limited theatrical release on October 21 before heading to Amazon Prime two weeks later.
