Less than a week after winning big at the Grammys, Harry Styles managed to dominate another major award ceremony. He picked up four trophies at this year’s Brit Awards, including British album of the year and British artist of the year.
After winning album of the year at the Grammys, Styles managed to replicate his success as the Brits, defeating the likes of Stormzy, Wet Leg, The 1975, and Fred Again. He came into the night with four nominations, and managed to win in all the categories he was nominated in, including British artist of the year, best pop/R&B act, and song of the year with “As It Was”.
The list of major winners at this year’s Brits also included Wet Leg, with two awards. They managed to defeat The 1975 and Arctic Monkeys to be named British group of the year, in addition to beating Rina Sawayama and Sam Ryder to pick up the trophy for the best new artist.
It was also a big night for Beyoncé, who dominated the international categories, winning awards for international artist of the year and best international song with “Break My Soul”.
The 2023 Brit Awards took place on February 11 at the O2 Arena in London, with Mo Gilligan returning as a host.
