Ariel’s Prince has not yet been found.

Disney is in the process of securing its cast for the live-action version of The Little Mermaid, but it appears as though actors as ebbing and flowing.

R&B singer Halle Bailey has been announced as filling the fins of the underwater princess who decides to give up her voice for true love.

Currently, the 19-year-old is the only person officially attached to star, while Melissa McCarthy is believed to be in negotiations for the sea witch Ursula. Also in negotiations is Jacob Tremblay, Awkwafina, and Javier Bardem.

It was believed that former One Direction member and star of Dunkirk, Harry Styles, would be taking on the role of Ariel’s beloved Prince Eric.

The news seemed to be confirmed when it was tweeted by AMC Theatres and Regal Cinemas — only to be deleted thereafter.

According to TheWrap, those with knowledge of the project have said that while Styles is a fan of the film, he respectfully declined the role.

We’re sure director Rob Marshall will find someone neat to add to Ariel’s collection.
