It was only a matter of time before the Harvey Weinstein debacle inspired an on-screen spectacle.
The disgraced movie mogul has been accused by dozens of women in the industry of sexual misconduct, and 2 weeks ago handed himself to New York police.
Now, the director behind Carrie and Scarface, Brian De Palma, has announced that he will be making a film based on the occurrence.
“I am writing a film about this scandal, which I am currently discussing with a French producer,” the 77-year-old told French newspaper, Le Parisien. “My character will not be called Harvey Weinstein. But it will be a horror movie, with a sexual aggressor, and it will happen in the film industry.”
The film does not yet have a possible release date or any cast attached.
