The film adaptation of It Ends with Us is currently filming in New Jersey, and another star just joined its cast. Hasan Minaj will star alongside Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni in the big-screen version of Colleen Hoover’s best-selling novel.

It Ends with Us centers on Lily Bloom, who believes she found her soul mate in charming neurosurgeon Ryle Kincaid, but her past comes to haunt her after her high school sweetheart Atlas Corrigan suddenly reappears in her life, putting her future in jeopardy.

Justin Baldoni will be in charge of directing the adaptation of Hoover’s hit novel, and he’ll play one of the lead roles alongside Blake Lively and Brandon Sklenar. The production is underway in Hoboken, New Jersey, and several behind-the-scenes photos recently emerged online, attracting a lot of attention from the fans of the original book.

Hasan Minhaj is best known for his work as a comedian, having previously hosted Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj, in addition to serving as a correspondent on The Daily Show. He also won a Peabody Award for his stand-up special Homecoming King, but he’s been making a shift to acting in recent years. Most notably, he played a recurring role on Season 2 of The Morning Show alongside Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston.
