Hold on to your dragons Game of Thrones’ fans for the first-ever footage from the final season has at last debut!

HBO dropped the first footage from the 8th and final season of its hit series during the 2019 Golden Globes. The footage was featured in a new HBO promo.

The too-short-to-our-liking footage showed Daenerys walking up to Sansa Stark at Winterfell. When the two badass ladies finally face each other, the Lady of Winterfell says, “Winterfell is yours, your Grace” to the Mother of Dragons.

Talking about GoT’s forthcoming season, David Nutter, season eight’s first director, told Entertainment Tonight that fans have loads to expect to.

“I know that I can say this: If you’re a fan of the show, you will be completely satisfied by where the series goes to. They’ve really done a tremendous job in servicing the drama and the characters and so forth, and there are many ups and downs and twists and turns all across the Game of Thrones society and the world they are.”

Game of Thrones returns for its final season in April.
