Pretty Little Liars is the latest beloved 2010s show making a comeback right now, and HBO Max found a perfect way to hype it up. Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin is set to premiere later this month, and the streamer gave us a taste of things to come with the first full trailer.
According to its official logline, this series takes place twenty years ago, when a string of tragic events almost ripped the blue-collar town of Millwood apart. It shifts between the past and present day, where a new group of teen girls is being tormented by their own “A” and made to pay for the secret sin committed by their parents—as well as their own.
Bailee Madison, Chandler Kinney, Zaria, Malia Pyles, and Maia Reficco will play the new generation of Little Liars, with Mallory Bechtel, Sharon Leal, Elena Goode, Lea Salonga, Eric Johnson, and Alex Aiono forming the rest of the cast.
Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin will premiere on July 28 and it will feature a total of ten episodes. It’s not the first spinoff series set in this universe—the Pretty Little Liars franchise also includes Ravenswood and Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists, both canceled after a single season.
