HBO Max announced several reboots of classic HBO shows since its launch, and it seems like another one might be in the works. According to several reputable sources, a Sex and the City limited series reboot is in the cards at the recently-launched streaming service.

Page Six was the first media outlet to break the news. According to their report, HBO Max is near to closing a deal to revive the iconic series, with leads Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon returning to their respective roles, without Kim Cattrall.

Before this news started circling, the future of the Sex and the City franchise looked pretty uncertain, after plans for a third movie fell through. Cattrall didn’t want to be involved in this project, and after many reports about the behind-the-scenes drama, she explained her decision by saying she wanted “to end one chapter and start another.”

The news of this project is still fresh, but if they come to fruition, the Sex and the City reboot won’t be the first coming to HBO Max. A Gossip Girl reboot is set to premiere on this streaming service next year, and new versions of In Treatment and True Blood are on the way.
