Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin created quite a splash since premiering on HBO Max earlier this summer and there’s more where it came from! HBO Max announced the renewal of this teen mystery series for its second chapter shortly after Season 1 wrapped up.

Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin is set in the same universe as the original series, but it focuses on a whole new set of characters from the fictional town of Millwood, PA. It centers on a new group of teens who face a mysterious assailant named “A”, tormenting them for sins from their past.

Sarah Aubrey, head of original content at HBO Max, announced the show’s renewal in a statement and said they’re thrilled to continue the Pretty Little Liars legacy.

“We are so proud of the incredible response both critically and from fans that Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin has received. Viewers have embraced our new generation of Liars, and Roberto and Lindsay’s brilliantly dark, horror-fueled take on this iconic franchise,” said Aubrey.

Aguirre-Sacasa and Calhoon Bring also released a statement, expressing gratitude to their partners at HBO Max, Warner Bros. Television, and Alloy Entertainment. They also thanked fans for embracing “this new, horror-version of Pretty Little Liars.”
