S-x and the City revival has been making waves on HBO since its release, and its future is looking bright! The Max original series And Just Like That… has been renewed for its third season, with Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis, and Cynthia Nixon returning in the lead roles.
Sarah Aubrey, Max’s head of content, revealed that this series ranks as the No. 1 Max original overall and is the most-watched returning Max original to date, and added they’re delighted to bring it back for another season.
“As we approach the highly anticipated season finale on Thursday, we raise our cosmos to Michael Patrick King and his magnificent team of writers, producers, cast, and crew who continue to charm us, 25 years later, with dynamic friendships and engaging stories,” said Aubrey in a statement.
Season 2 of And Just Like That… saw Carrie reconnecting with her old fling Aidan Shaw (John Corbett) in the aftermath of the death of her beloved husband Mr. Big (Chris Noth). Miranda’s journey of self-discovery continued in Season 2, while Charlotte tried to figure out her identity outside of being a devoted wife and mother.
Kim Cattrall, who played Samantha Jones in S-x and the City, is expected to return for a cameo in the Season 2 finale, set to premiere on August 24.
