Succession is only two episodes into its third season, but HBO is fully confident in its success. The Emmy-winning drama about the trials and tribulations of the rich and privileged Roy family has been renewed for its fourth season.

Francesca Orsi, EVP of HBO Programming, praised Succession‘s creator Jesse Armstrong for “pulling us deeper into Roy family’s inner sanctum with indelible wit, humanity, and precision”. Since Season 3 is no exception to this rule, Orsi added that they couldn’t be more excited for all that’s in store in this next season ahead.

Succession premiered on HBO in 2018, and it centers on members of a dysfunctional family who own a global media conglomerate, as they fight for control over the company. The show’s ensemble cast includes Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong, Kieran Culkin, Sarah Snook, Matthew Macfadyen, Nicholas Braun, and Alan Ruck.

Succession has been a critical darling since the get-go, and it went on to win many major awards, including Golden Globe and Emmy for the best drama series. Brian Cox also won a Golden Globe for the best actor in a drama, while his co-star Jeremy Strong defeated him to receive an Emmy Award in the same category.
