After giving us two adaptations of Agatha Christie’s Hercule Poirot novels, Kenneth Branagh is back for another murder mystery! He’ll return as our favorite detective Hercule Poirot in A Haunting in Venice, and the first teaser trailer for this film is finally here.

The official logline describes Haunting in Venice as a terrifying mystery set in eerie, post-World War II Venice on All Hallows’ Eve. The world-famous detective Hercule Poirot lives in self-imposed exile in this Italian city following his retirement, but he’s thrust back into action after attending a séance at a decaying, haunted palazzo, where one of the guests is murdered.

Kenneth Branagh will return as Hercule Poirot for the third time, following the success of Murder on the Orient Express and Death on the Nile, and he’ll be in pretty good company. The film’s supporting cast includes Kyle Allen, Camille Cottin, Jamie Dornan, Tina Fey, Michelle Yeoh, Kelly Reilly, Jude Hill, Ali Khan, Emma Laird, and Riccardo Scamarcio.

A Haunting in Venice is based on Agatha Christie’s Hallowe’en Party, and it was filmed in Venice last year. The teaser trailer was a part of 20th Century’s CinemaCon presentation, and we’ll get to see this film in full when it premieres on September 15.
