High Fidelity is getting a remake but this time the lead goes to an actress!

The new version of Nick Hornsby’s 1995 novel will be a series consisting of 10 parts, which will air on Disney’s streaming channel.

Much speculation had arisen over who would take on the role of record store owner, Rob Gordon, made famous by John Cusack.

And now we have our answer.

Zoë Kravitz of Big Little Lies will showcase a female point of view in the reimagining, as well as executive produce.

Even cooler is that Zoë’s mom, Lisa Bonet, starred in the original film in 2000 as one of John’s character’s girlfriends!

With Disney’s service only likely to be up and running in late 2019, we’ll have to wait a bit to see just how high that fidelity will get.
