Angus Cloud, who made a name for himself with the role of Fezco “Fez” O’Neill on HBO’s teen drama Euphoria, tragically died at 25. The actor’s family revealed that the young actor was coping with immense grief after losing his father, and asked for privacy during this difficult time.

Cloud was found dead at his family’s home in Oakland, California, where he was staying after returning from his father’s funeral in Ireland. The actor’s family said he was trying to overcome grief after losing his father, who was his best friend.

“Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence. We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter, and love for everyone,” said Cloud’s family in a statement to TMZ.

Cloud was never interested in acting before being scouted by Euphoria’s casting director on the streets of New York. He initially thought the whole thing was a scam, but eventually agreed to audition and won everyone’s heart in the role of Fezco “Fez” O’Neill. He also appeared in the movies North Hollywood and The Line, and music videos by Noah Cyrus, Juice WRLD, Becky G, and Karol G.
