If you grew up during the ‘90s, you probably re-visited Kevin McCallister’s home every holiday season, and Disney+ is inviting you for another visit. Home Alone reboot is coming to this streaming service, and it already cast its leads.

Archie Yates, who made his big-screen debut in historical satire Jojo Rabbit, will be in charge of portraying the main role in this project. We still don’t know much about this reboot, so it’s unclear if he’ll play Kevin or an entirely new character.

The cast will also include Ellie Kemper, who has two Emmys under her belt thanks to her portrayal of the happy-go-lucky titular character in Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. She’ll be joined by comedian Rob Delaney, star of critically acclaimed sitcom Catastrophe.

When Disney CEO Bob Iger first announced their idea to give Home Alone a reboot treatment, he described it as reimagining for “a new generation”. They’re also considering doing the same with some of the other family-friendly franchises from the Fox library, including Night at the Museum and Cheaper by the Dozen.
