The Big Little Lies alum Hong Chau has been tapped to star in HBO’s Watchmen.

Chau whose credits include Amazon’s Homecoming and Downsizing, has joined the cast of the upcoming drama from Damon Lindelof. The series is based on Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons’ iconic comic series.

Chau will star alongside the previously announced Jeremy Irons, Regina King, Jean Smart, Don Johnson, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Adelaide Clemens, Andrew Howard, Tom Mison, Frances Fisher, Jacob Ming-Trent, Sara Vickers, Dylan Schombing, Lily Rose Smith, and Adelynn Spoon.

Watchmen isslated for a 2019 premiere and according to Lindelof won’t be an adaptation or sequel of Zack Snyder’s 2009 Watchmen feature but rather a “remix.”

“We have no desire to ‘adapt’ the twelve issues Mr. Moore and Mr. Gibbons created thirty years ago,” Lindelof wrote in a five-page letter he shared on Instagram back in May. “Those issues are sacred ground and they will not be retread nor recreated nor reproduced nor rebooted. They will, however, be remixed.”
