If you haven’t watched the third season of Stranger Thing (what’s taken you so long?) this article will reveal spoilers!

Netflix released a 50-second teaser for the fourth season of Stranger Things entitled “From Russia With Love” and it’s clear that Hopper (David Harbour) is very much alive.

Following the ending of Season 3, we were left thinking Hopper was dead after he helped bring down the Russian Terminator and close the rift between the real world and the Upside Down, but it looks like he’s just imprisoned in Russia.

In the teaser, we see a thinner Hopper with buzzed hair who’s among many other men doing manual labor on a railway track while being watched by Russian guards.

The creators and showrunners Matt and Ross Duffer said, “We’re excited to officially confirm that production on Stranger Things 4 is now underway — and even more excited to announce the return of Hopper.”

“Although it’s not all good news for our ‘American’; he is imprisoned far from home in the snowy wasteland of Kamchatka, where he will face dangers both human…and other. Meanwhile, back in the states, a new horror is beginning to surface, something long-buried, something that connects everything,” they continued.
