This year’s Golden Globes did not shine as brightly as the year before…

The 2018 version of the ceremony was hosted by talk show host, Seth Meyers, who received positive reviews from critics. The public seemed to agree, with 19 million people tuning in.

This year’s telecast saw a drop in numbers, with 18.6 million viewers — a 2% decrease. Despite the drop, the Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh-helmed show did show an increase when it came to certain demographics.

Viewers in the 18 to 49 age bracket showed an improvement of 4% compared to the same category last year, with Nielsen’s recording a 5.2 rating in contrast to 2018’s 5.0.

Looks like the Globes are still living life like it’s Golden.
