We’ve seen countless TV shows and movies inspired by Greek mythology, but Netflix is promising something completely different with Kaos. This Netflix series will put a modern twist on Greek tales and change everything you know about them – and it’s set to star Hugh Grant as the all-mighty Zeus!

Deadline describes Kaos as a bold, darkly comic, contemporary take on Greek mythology, exploring love, power, and life in the underworld. In addition to Grant as Zeus, Kaos will also star Janet McTeer (Hera), Cliff Curtis (Poseidon), David Thewlis (Hades), and Nabhaan Rizwan (Dionysus).

Killian Scott (Orpheus), Misia Butler (Caneus), Aurora Perrineau (Riddy), and Leila Farzad (Ari) will play mortals who are connected in the battle against Zeus. Rakie Ayola and Stanley Townsend are set to play undisclosed roles, with Billie Piper will be making a cameo.

The creator Charlie Covell said she’s absolutely thrilled to be making this show and that she can’t think of a more exciting or dynamic team of people to bring everything to life.

“I believe I’m still in shock at the news that Hugh Grant has agreed to play Zeus — this was my dream. He’s leading a stupendous cast of actors and we’re extremely honored to have them all on board. I can’t wait for filming to begin,” said Covell in a statement.

Kaos will feature a total of eight episodes and the production is set to kick off this summer.
