Hugh Jackman and Rebecca Ferguson proved they have great chemistry while starring opposite each other in The Greatest Showman. Now, they’re getting ready to team up on the big screen again in the promising sci-fi thriller Reminiscence.

This film is set in a near-future Miami, partly submerged underwater and completely changed by global warming. Technology also experienced rapid transformation, and scientist came up with a way for people to revisit their most cherished memories.

Jackman will play a private eye who uses this new technology to recapture vivid memories for his clients. His life takes unexpected turn after a mysterious woman (Ferguson) walks into his office, seeking help with lost keys.

This project will be helmed by Westworld co-creator Lisa Joy, who also penned the script. She believes her work on this hit series fully prepared her for Reminiscence, and can’t wait to explore this new world she created.

“I know exactly what I want this to be, including all of the action set pieces, and turning Miami into a sunken world. Working on Westworld has been an incredible experience in learning to make something with the scope of a feature on a TV timeline,” explained Joy.
