Hugh Jackman spent his childhood dreaming about making it to the Guinness Book of Records, and he’s finally living the dream. He currently has the longest run playing a live-action Marvel superhero, but he’s sharing the honor with his X-Men co-star Patrick Stewart.

Jackman and Stewart both spent 16 years and 228 days playing their characters in this beloved franchise. Both actors waved goodbye to the X-Men universe in the critically acclaimed superhero film Logan from 2017.

The Wolverine star described this award as the fulfillment of a lifelong dream, and joked this is the only reason why he got into the showbiz in the first place.

“My dream as a kid, both my brother and I, was to be in the Guinness Book of Records one day. We tried to stay up and play badminton for 48 hours, we tried to flip coins off our elbow, and I just realized maybe I’m there now, I don’t know,” said the Australian actor.

This victory comes shortly after Hugh Jackman came one step closer to becoming a member of the EGOT club, after winning a Grammy for The Greatest Showman.
