The doctor is in.

Hulu has confirmed that House actor, Hugh Laurie, will be joining the television adaption of 1961 novel, Catch-22.

The satirical work by Joseph Heller is set during World War II and tells the story of Captain John Yossarian who is a US Air Force bombardier stationed on the Pianosa air base, west of Italy.

Money Monster actor, George Clooney, will serve as executive producer of the series, as well as star as Colonel Cathcart.

The Oscar winner will now be joined by Laurie who will take the role of squadron executive officer, Major de Coverley, and Christopher Abbot of Girls who will play the lead of Yossarian.

Clooney and Laurie previously starred together in 2015’s Tomorrowland.

The 6-part miniseries will mark the latter’s return to Hulu following the cancellation of his previous series, Chance.

Major de Coverley has been described as someone who dances to the beat of his own drum, is regarded with awe by the soldiers, and spends his time listening to jazz on his phonograph, which sounds an ideal role for Laurie who doubles as a blues musician.
