“Hustlers” Scored a $33 Million Weekend at the Box Office

Jennifer Lopez And Constance Wu’s Hustlers breaks records with a $33 million opening weekend.

The film about New York City strip-club performers who swindle Wall Street stockbrokers is eyeing the STXFilms’ bigger opener yet. According to estimates, the stripper saga could take home circa $33 million from 3,250 theaters across the country. 

Hustlers was penned and directed by Lorene Scafaria. In addition to Lopez and Wu, it stars Julia Stiles, Keke Palmer, Lili Reinhart, Cardi B, and Lizzo.

In other box office news, It: Chapter Two should take home around $40 million in its sophomore weekend, The Goldfinch is tanking it with just $2.58 million in its opening weekend.

Hustlers had its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival, where it was very well received.
