Deadline reports that Idina Menzel is in talks to star opposite previously announced Camila Cabello in Sony’s Cinderella.
Per the outlet, Menzel is poised to play the evil stepmother, in the musical film adaptation of the classic folk tale that originated out of an original idea from James Corden.
News of Menzel’s negotiations comes just a day after multiple outlets confirm that Pose Emmy winner Billy Porter is in talks for the role of the fairy godmother.
Cinderella is directed and written by Kay Cannon. Corden will be producing alongside Leo Pearlman through their Fulwell73 banner.
