Idris Elba has a couple of pretty exciting projects on the way, and he’s adding another to his agenda. The Golden Globe-winning actor is set to star in the upcoming western movie The Harder They Fall.

This project will serve as the feature directorial debut for Jeymes Samuel, who was also in charge of writing the script. He’ll produce this Netflix western alongside James Lassiter, Lawrence Bender, and Jay-Z, who’ll also write original music for the soundtrack.

The Harder They Fall tells the story of outlaw Nat Love (Jonathan Majors) who decides to seek revenge on the man (Idris Elba) who killed his parents two decades ago, after learning he was released from prison.

This won’t be Elba’s first time collaborating with Netflix. Back in 2015, he starred in war drama Beasts of No Nation, which was distributed by this streaming service. This project had huge critical and commercial success, and Elba ended up scoring a Screen Actors Guild Award for his supporting turn. He teamed up with Netflix again this year and led their comedy series Turn Up Charlie.
