It appears that Idris Elba won’t be ordering a shaken martini in the near future.

For years, rumors of James Bond have closely followed the Luther actor. Naturally, those whispers got a little louder when Daniel Craig announced that No Time to Die would be his last outing as the suave spy.

But it now seems as though Elba has ruled out the possibility of his assuming a place in Her Majesty’s Secret Service.

“No I’m not going to be James Bond,” the actor replied when asked at the premiere of The Harder They Fall, but did admit that he would have liked to take on the rule.

At age 49, it is assumed that James Bond producers would want someone younger than Elba to take the role.

Hot favorites are Tom Hardy, Regé-Jean Page, and Henry Cavill, though producers have said they will not start considering Craig’s replacement until 2022.
