Ike Barinholtz Joins “The Hunt”

The Hunt has found another cast member.

Ike Barinholtz joins the previously announced Emma Roberts, Justin Hartley and Glenn Howerton in the highly charged political thriller. 

Barinholtz is best known for his role on The Mindy Project. His big screen credits include his directorial debut last year, The Oath, in which he also stared opposite Tiffany Haddish.

The Hunt was written by Lost and The Leftovers scribes Damon Lindelof and Nick Cuse. Directing is Craig Zobel who will also executive produce alongside Cuse. Blumhouse’s Jason Blum will produce, alongside Lindelof via his White Rabbit banner.

Plot and character details are kept under wraps, but according to The Hollywood Reporter, the “subversive script that takes its cues from the current political climate in America, elevating the current conflict between right and left wings to a violent level.”

The production is set to begin this month. The Hunt has been set for an October 18 premiere.
