Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are taking the next step in their relationship—the two announced they’re engaged!
The 51-year-old singer and the 44-year-old country star made the announcement on Instagram with Stefani sharing a photo captioned, “@blakeshelton yes please! 💍🙏🏻 gx,”. Shelton shared the same photo writing, “@gwenstefani thanks for saving my 2020… And the rest of my life.. I love you. I heard a YES!”
The couple met in 2015 on the set of The Voice where they served as judges. Both had recently split from their partners—Stefani split from Gavin Rossdale and Shelton from Miranda Lambert.
Earlier this month, when Stefani was asked on Today With Hoda & Jenna about her plans on marrying Shelton after the pandemic ends she said, “Oh, that’s a really good question. The good news is that we still like each other a lot. That’s good. I don’t know. We’ll see what happens.”
Stefani will be bringing her three sons Kingston, 14; Zuma, 12; and Apollo, 6 into the marriage.
The couple has released several songs together including “Nobody But You” which became Shelton’s 27th No. 1 country hit and earned the couple a CMT Music Award for Collaborative Video of the Year. They released their fourth collaboration “Happy Anywhere” in July.
No date has been announced for their wedding.
