J. J. Abrams and Bad Robot will develop Daniel Casey’s supernatural thriller The Pinkerton as a feature film with Warner Bros. Pictures.

The film is part of Bad Robot’s five-year deal with WarnerMedia.

Casey will pen the film, which is described as a “supernatural revenge thriller” in a “Western setting.” The script gets its name from the Pinkerton National Detective Agency, which was formed by Allan Pinkerton in 1850.

Casey’s other writing credits include the upcoming Fast and Furious sequel F9 as well as Kin and  Leo From Toledo.

Bad Robot’s credits include TV shows Alias, Lost, Person of Interest, and Westworld, as well as films such as Cloverfield, Star Trek, Mission: Impossible, Overlord, Star Wars: The Force Awarkens and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
