Clint Eastwood’s next film will be one star-studded affair, and one beloved Oscar-winning actor just joined its ensemble. J.K. Simmons will star in the promising thriller Juror No. 2, alongside Nicholas Hoult, Toni Collette, and Zoey Deutch.

Written by Jonathan Abrams, Juror No. 2 will center on a family man Justin Kemp (Hoult), who serves as a juror in a high-profile murder trial. After realizing he might have played a part in the victim’s death, Kemp must decide if he could use what he knows to sway the jury and potentially convict the wrong person.

Simmons joined the cast as one of Kemp’s fellow jurors, and he’ll be in pretty good company. Toni Collette will play the prosecutor, Zoey Deutch will star as Kemp’s wife, while Gabriel Basso will join the cast as the accused. Leslie Bibb, Chris Messina, and Kiefer Sutherland will also star in supporting roles, while the rest of the ensemble is yet to be announced.

J.K. Simmons is best known for winning the Academy Award for his supporting performance in Whiplash, and Juror No. 2 is only the latest of several high-profile projects he’s attached to. He’ll play Santa Claus in the Christmas action-adventure Red One, lead thriller You Can’t Run Forever, and star alongside Mark Wahlberg and Halle Berry in the action movie The Union.
