Emerald Fennell’s next film Saltburn will open this year’s London Film Festival, and she finally gave us the first glimpse at this highly-anticipated project. The first trailer for Saltburn is here, and it stars Jacob Elordi and Barry Keoghan as two Oxford students, spending the summer they’ll never forget at the lavish English estate.

The film’s official synopsis describes it as “a wicked tale of privilege and desire”, which chronicles the complicated friendship between two Oxford students from different walks of life.

“Struggling to find his place at Oxford University, student Oliver Quick finds himself drawn into the world of the charming and aristocratic Felix Catton, who invites him to Saltburn, his eccentric family’s sprawling estate, for a summer never to be forgotten,” reads the film’s official synopsis.

In addition to Elordi and Keoghan, Saltburn will also star Rosamund Pike, Richard E. Grant, Alison Oliver, Archie Madekwe, Carey Mulligan, Paul Rhys, Lolly Adefope, Ewan Mitchell, and Reece Shearsmith in supporting roles.

Saltburn will have its world premiere at the Telluride Film Festival on August 31, before opening the London Film Festival in October. It is scheduled for a limited release in the United States on November 24, before expanding wide one week later.
