Jacob Elordi shared many wild revelations while promoting Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla, and his latest may be the wildest one yet. The Australian actor said that he ate a pound of bacon a day to prepare for the role of Elvis Presley in Coppola’s critically acclaimed biopic.

Elordi recently set down for a roundtable interview with Entertainment Weekly alongside his Priscilla co-star Cailee Spaeny and director Sofia Coppola. When discussing his preparation for the movie, Coppola chimed in and said Priscilla Presley told them that Elvis really liked burnt bacon, so Elordi ate a lot of it to prepare for the role.

“I averaged, like, a pound of bacon a day. It’s not that noticeable because I’m quite long, but I was the biggest I’ve ever been,” said the Euphoria star.

This isn’t the first wild peace of information Elordi shared while promoting Priscilla. During an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, he said that “the most [he] knew of Elvis was in Lilo & Stitch” and that a short clip of the legendary singer after coming back from the army in Germany helped him prepare for his audition.

Priscilla had its world premiere at the Venice International Film Festival before hitting the theaters on October 27. Despite positive reviews, Elordi’s portrayal of the King of Rock’n’Roll caused controversy with the Presley estate and the singer’s loyal fanbase.
