The Late Late Show host James Corden finally broke the silence about the return of his popular segment Carpool Karaoke. During a recent appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Corden discussed the subject and admitted that even he doesn’t know when it will be back on the air.

“I don’t know, really. We wonder when someone will tell us when it’s okay,” said Corden when asked when he will be able to do Carpool Karaoke again by host Ellen DeGeneres.

Corden added that he’s “hopeful for the end of summer, or autumn time” and revealed that he already has “a whole raft of artists” he wants to host in the segment.

You can check out his response in full in the video below. The part where Corden speaks about Carpool Karaoke starts at the 3:05 mark.

James Corden first introduced Carpool Karaoke in 2015, and it quickly became one of the most popular late-night show segments on television. It usually features Corden and a  famous music star taking a ride through Los Angeles and singing along to popular songs while also discussing a number of topics.

The segment was also adapted into a television series by Apple TV in 2017. Three seasons of Carpool Karaoke: The Series have been made so far, with each winning Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Short Form Variety Series.
