James McAvoy has several pretty interesting projects on the way, and he just set his eyes on another one. The X-Men star landed the lead role in the upcoming thriller Turn Up The Sun! alongside Lucas Bravo, Aisling Franciosi, and Almudena Amor.

Turn Up The Sun! was written and directed by Jamie Adams, and it centers on two couples that accidentally book the same mansion in the countryside. As was supposed to be their weekend of work and pleasure progresses, they discover things may not be as they seem.

Shaun Sanghani is financing the film through SSS Film Capital and producing through SSS Entertainment, and he can’t wait to see what the creative team behind it has in store.

“James McAvoy is one of the most talented actors in the business and having him and the rest of our amazing cast collaborate with Jamie Adams, who we are lucky to be reteaming with for a second feature, is exciting on every level,” Sanghani told Deadline.

McAvoy will soon appear in The Book of Clarence alongside LaKeith Stanfield, Omar Sy, and Anna Diop. This Biblical epic had its world premiere at the London Film Festival ahead of its premiere in early January. He’s also attached to the upcoming psychological thriller Speak No Evil.
