When you hear the name Jamie Lee Curtis, you inevitably think of Halloween, one of the most iconic horror movies ever made. It kicked off her career in 1979 with the John Carpenter classic and she is returning as Laurie Strode in David Gordan Green’s highly anticipated sequel in 2018.

Despite being a name inseparable with the horror genre, the star has admitted that she does not like horror movies. In fact, she hates being scared altogether. In an interview with NME, she said:

“I do not like horror movies. I do not say this for a joke, although it gets a laugh, I really don’t. There’s nothing I like about being scared. I’m this person [puts hands over her face]. I sing songs to myself when things are terrifying,” she said.

“I mean, f***ing Aladdin scared me. I’m not joking! You know when Jafar becomes a dragon? With his red eyes and stuff? That s**t scared me.”

The 2018 Halloween is showing in cinemas in the US as of October 19.
