We’ve seen Jessica Biel and Elizabeth Banks star in many amazing projects, and they’ll finally get to lead one by each other’s side. This amazing duo has been cast in the lead roles in Amazon Prime Video’s adaptation of Alafair Burke’s thriller novel The Better Sister.

Biel and Banks will play Chloe and Nicky, two sisters who have been estranged for years before a family tragedy brings them together. Their paths cross again after Chloe’s husband Adam is murdered, and the prime suspect sends shockwaves through the family, uncovering long-buried secrets they’ve been trying to hide.

Olivia Milch penned the pilot for this project, and she’s serving as its showrunner alongside Regina Corrado. They’ll both be credited as executive producers, along with Biel and Banks.

Craig Gillespie (I, Tonya, Dumb Money) is coming on board as the director of this project. He’s looking forward to reuniting with Tomorrow Studios, after working together on the Apple TV+ dramedy Physical.

“When I read Olivia and Regina’s propulsive scripts, I knew I wanted to be a part of it, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be working with these two world-class actresses for the first time. Watching them as rivaling sisters is going to be a blast,” said Gillespie in a statement.
