Jane Krakowski will be starring in Annie Live!
This marks her reunion with Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt co-star Tituss Burgess. She will be playing Lily St. Regis, the partner of his swindler, Rooster Hannigan. The duo plots to get rich and they’ll be singing “Easy Street” together.
The Tony Award-winning actress is best known for her roles in Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, 30 Rock, and Ally McBeal. Currently, she’s starring in Dickinson and Schmigadoon! She’s also known for her guest appearances in At Home With Amy Sedaris, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Drunk History, Modern Family, Sesame Street, and Younger.
Annie Live! will also star Taraji P. Henson as Miss Hannigan, Harry Connick, Jr. as Daddy Warbucks, Nicole Scherzinger as Grace, and Celina Smith as Annie.
The live musical comes from the 1920s Harold Gray comic strip Little Orphan Anni and the 1970s Broadway musical which was adapted into a feature film in 1999 and remade in 2014.
The musical will be executive produced by Robert Greenblatt, Neil Meron, and Alex Rudzinsky. Lear deBessonet and Alex Rudzinski will be directing.
Annie Live! will air on December 2 on NBC.
