Janelle Monae is taking over as the leading lady in season 2 of the Amazon drama, Homecoming.
Monae is taking over the lead from Julia Roberts, who originally signed a one-year deal. Roberts will, however, return as an executive producer of the series.
The Hidden Figures and Moonlight star’s character is described as a tenacious woman who finds herself floating in a canoe, with no memory of how she got there or who she is.
It is unknown if season 1 stars of the psychological thriller, Stephan James and Bobby Cannavale will return for season 2.
Homecoming starts shooting its second season later this year.
