Get ready to discover the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominees for 2019.

A total of fourteen artists and bands have been nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2019 induction.

The shortlist was announced by the institution on Tuesday. The list includes first time nominees like Def Leppard and Roxy Music as well as returning nominees including Janet Jackson, Radiohead, and Rage Against the Machine. Rapper LL Cool J was nominated for the fifth time and will be the seventh hip-hip artist inducted.

The newest class of nominees join esteemed members also inducted including the recently deceased Aretha Franklin, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, KISS, David Bowie, ABBA, Billy Joel and  Aerosmith.

Artists become eligible for nomination 25 years after the release of their first recording. An international voting body composed of artists, historians, and music industry personas considers “an artist’s musical influence on other artists, length and depth of career and the body of work, innovation, and superiority in style and technique,” the Rock Hall said.
