It’s definitely funny how time flies… just ask Janet Jackson.
Believe it or not, the youngest member of the Jackson family has been on the pop music scene for 36 years. Now, the 51-year-old is set to be honoured for the legend that she is during the 2018 Billboard Music Awards.
Janet will follow in the musical footsteps of Neil Diamond, Stevie Wonder, Prince, Jennifer Lopez, Céline Dion, and Cher when she receives the Icon Award during the ceremony that will take place on May 21.
The That’s the Way Love Goes singer has already won 10 Billboard awards, out of 18 nominations. To celebrate the honour, Miss Jackson will also take to the stage and perform during the ceremony — marking her first televised performance in 9 years.
