Fans of “Dune” received a lot of great news in the last few weeks, as a number of A-list actors joined the highly-anticipated adaptation of beloved sci-fi novel. Jason Momoa is the latest star to accept the role in this exciting new remake.

Momoa is in talks to play Duncan Idaho, handsome sword master and right-hand men of Duke Leto, one of the main protagonists of the franchise. This character was previously portrayed by the likes of Richard Jordan and James Watson, but something tells us that Aquaman star won’t have any trouble following in their footsteps.

News of Momoa’s involvement comes shortly after Josh Brolin joined an already impressive cast of Hollywood veterans and promising young actors. Oscar Isaac, Timothée Chalamet and Rebecca Ferguson are some of the stars currently attached to this project. Zendaya is also in the talks to join the cast.

“Dune” will be directed by renowned filmmaker Denis Villeneuve, who said he’s hoping to make it into the “Star Wars” he never saw. We’ll see if he managed to accomplish this goal on November 20, 2020 when this ambitious space epic hits the theaters.
