The next installment in the Ghostbusters franchise has a director.

Variety reports that Jason Reitman has been set to direct the next Ghostbusters film set to hit theaters in the summer of 2020.

Reitman is no stranger to the franchise given that he is the son of the original Ghostbusters director, Ivan Reitman. The original film was released in 1984 and starred Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and the late Harold Ramis.

Reitman also co-wrote the script with Gil Kenan. He plans to star shooting this summer. According to the outlet the film will not be connected to the all-female 2016 film, which starred Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones.

All other plot and character details are being kept under wraps. It is unknown if any of the original cast members will make an appearance in the sequel, but according to sources, Reitman has begun castings for four mystery roles played by teenagers.
