The more we learn about the Hunger Games prequel, the more excited we are, and its cast is getting larger by the day. Jason Schwartzman and six more actors just joined Tom Blyth and Rachel Zegler in Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.

Schwartzman is best known for appearing in multiple films directed by Wes Anderson, including The French Dispatch from 2021. He’ll land his comedic chops to this dystopian fantasy drama in the role of Lucretius “Lucky” Flickerman, the host of the 10th Hunger Games and ancestor to Caesar Flickerman, played by Stanley Tucci in the original series.

The list of new cast members also includes Max Raphael as Festus Creed, Zoe Renee as Lysistrata Vickers, Ayomide Adegun as Pliny “Pup” Harrington, Kaitlyn Akinpelumi as Domita Whimsiwick, and Amélie Hoeferle as Vipsania Sickle.

They’ll all play mentors to different tributes, while Sofia Sanchez is joining the film as Wovey, a tribute from District 8. In addition to leads Blyth and Zegler, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is also set to star Hunter Schafer, Josh Andrés Rivera, Ashley Liao, and many more.

This film will be released on November 17, 2023, with Francis Lawrence returning as a director.
