Before he became one of the most successful action stars of his generation, Jason Statham got his big break with roles in Guy Ritchie’s cult films Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch. Two decades passed since and he’ll finally be joining forces with the famous director once again.
According to the official synopsis, this untitled film focuses on H, a cold and mysterious type whose company moves big sums of money around LA. Ritchie set out to create a thrilling and mind-bending experience with this project by shifting through various timelines and characters’ perspectives.
Miramax acquired the remake rights for 2004 film Le Convoyeur to make this movie happen, and their CEO Bill Block is putting his full trust in the creative team behind it.
“Working again with Guy Ritchie on our second collaboration together, alongside renowned actor Jason Statham, is a privilege, and we anticipate that the tone and flavor of these two longtime friends will resurrect nothing less than a true, genre classic,” said Block in a statement.
This intriguing heist thriller still doesn’t have a title or release date, and the rest of the cast is yet to be revealed.
