2023 has been a pretty amazing year for Jason Statham, and he’s gearing up for another one! The action superstar will join forces with David Ayer in the promising new movie The Beekeeper, and the first trailer for this action thriller is as wild as it gets.
This highly-anticipated action blockbuster will see Statham take on the role of a former operative of a powerful and clandestine organization known as Beekeepers. He embarks on a brutal campaign for vengeance against the organization that wronged his friend, and his quest for revenge eventually takes on national stakes.
Statham is off of another landmark year, and we’ve seen him star in some of the most popular action franchises in the past few months. After kicking the year off with the spy action-comedy Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre, he went on to star in sequels Fast X, Meg 2: The Trench, and Expend4bles.
The Beekeeper was directed for the big screen by David Ayer, whose filmography includes Fury, Suicide Squad, and Bright. He also serves as one of the film’s producers alongside Statham, while the supporting cast includes Josh Hutcherson, Bobby Naderi, Minnie Driver, Phylicia Rashad, and Jeremy Irons.
The Beekeeper will be released by Amazon MGM Studios on January 12, 2024.
