Apple TV+ released the first trailer for Jason Sudeikis’ Ted Lasso which is set to premiere on August 14.

The series was co-written by Sudeikis and Bill Lawrence, and Sudeikis transforms his SNL NBC Sports character into the star of the comedy series. Sudeikis plays American football coach Ted Lasso, who learns that American football and British football are very different after he starts coaching a professional UK soccer team. Although he hasn’t coached soccer before, he still thinks he can make a huge impact both on and off the field.

In the trailer, Sudeikis’ Lasso reveals that he didn’t know that there were four countries in the UK as well as his reaction to British tea, believing it would taste like “hot brown water.”

Ted Lasso was created by Sudeikis, Lawrence, Brendan Hunt (Horrible Bosses 2), and Joe Kelly.
