Jay-Z’s net worth just went up by $90 million and he is now officially the richest musician in America.
Earlier this week, Forbes revealed the wealthiest celebrities in the US and you probably won’t be surprised by some of the big names on there. The list revealed that there are four celebrity billionaires in the states including basketball player Michael Jordan, Oprah, director Steven Spielberg, and filmmaker George Lucas.
At the top of the list for musicians though, is Jay-Z who currently has a net worth of $900 million. A percentage of this is down to his tour with Beyoncé this year, which grossed $150 million in August. On average, the duo took home $5.28 million per show. If you get rid of the ‘million’ part, that’s about what I used to earn per hour for my first job.
