Connelly will reportedly be playing a single mother who runs a local bar near the Navy base. Fans are suggesting she would serve as an amazing love interest for Cruise’s character Maverick. Screenwriters already confirmed they intend to pick someone age-appropriate, instead of having Cruise wooing an actress nearly half his age.
