It’s been a while since we’ve seen Jennifer Garner lead a major TV series, but that’s about to change. The Emmy-winning actress will soon appear in a gripping thriller The Last Thing He Told Me, and the first trailer for this mini-series is finally here.

According to its official synopsis, this gripping limited series follows Hannah, a woman who must forge a relationship with her 16-year-old stepdaughter Bailey in order to find the truth about why her husband has mysteriously disappeared.

The Last Thing He Told Me is based on Laura Dave’s book of the same name, and the author co-created its TV adaptation alongside Josh Singer. Hello Sunshine’s Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter are executive producing the series, alongside Garner, Dave, Singer, Marisa Yeres Gill, and Lisa Gillan.

The Last Thing He Told Me is Garner’s first major TV role since she appeared in Lena Dunham’s Camping back in 2018. She’s also currently starring in the third revival season of the cult sitcom Party Down.

The Last Thing He Told Me will premiere on Apple TV+ on April 14, and it will feature a total of seven episodes. The series will also star Angourie Rice, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Aisha Tyler, Geoff Stults, John Harlan Kim, and Augusto Aguilera.
