Jennifer Lawrence is already one of the most successful actresses of her generation, and she just made a first step towards becoming an industry mogul. The Hunger Games star is getting ready to launch her own production company called Excellent Cadaver.
Lawrence and her producing partner Justine Polsky already inked a first-look film deal with Makeready to develop star-vehicles for the Oscar-winning actress under their banner. Their founder and CEO Brad Weston can’t wait to start working with the young star, who’s proven to be a one-of-a-kind actress and businesswoman in a relatively short amount of time.
“Her versatility and commitment to working with the greatest filmmakers in the industry highlights our shared ambition to create thoughtful, fearless films, and we are extremely excited to partner with Jennifer and Justine as they start this new chapter,” said Weston.
Jennifer Lawrence recently took a brief sabbatical from acting, but she’ll make a comeback in the summer of 2019. She’s set to reprise the role of Mystique in the upcoming superhero flick Dark Phoenix, before starting to work on new projects.
